Hello, Pastor Ken Sabotka here. Ever since stepping my foot in the door, almost 35 years ago, in the Nazarene church I was put to work; first, with children, then with teens and now with adults.
It was in 1998, after few years of fighting the call to further my education, my wife and I sold our home, packed our bags and moved to Colorado Springs to fulfill our call to full time ministry and attend Nazarene Bible College. After graduating with an Bachelor degree in Biblical Studies in 2003 we once again found ourselves selling the house, packing our bags and returning to Michigan. I have worked in ministry as an associate in a couple of Nazarene churches. Over the last couple of years at Fowlerville, I have focused on Pastor of Outreach, Visitation and Men’s Ministry. I find it to be a great opportunity to work with the men of the church. We continue to grow stronger as we join together in food, fellowship and studying His Word. We have anywhere from 14-25 in attendance when we meet together. I would encourage any man that does not have a men’s group to come and fellowship with us.
My wife and I have been married for 38 years and have two grown children and six grandchildren. They all attend Nazarene churches. My wife and I love to camp along Lake Michigan every chance we get in our travel trailer. One of my favorite passage is 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 , “May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you though and though. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.” It’s a reminder to me that it is never in my strength that I’m able to continue on, but only though our Lord’s. He is constantly faithful in the lives of those He has called to do His work.
